La ferme du bout du monde is an eco-place for a community of residents, an agro-ecology training centre and a permaculture farm in Arlon, Belgium. We are developing our food and energy self-sufficiency, as well as agricultural, craft and artistic activities.
It's a place to live, a place to farm and a place to experiment and put into practice our approach to ecological living.
We cultivate self-sufficiency (in food, energy, finance, intellect, etc.).
We operate under shared governance.
We follow a permaculture design process for the development of the site.
The name "Ferme du bout du monde" (Farm at the end/edge of the world) comes from the fact that, for you, it may be the end of the world, but for us it's above all because we're witnessing the end of the world as we've known it, and we're moving towards something different. It's a tribute to deep adaptation.
At the edge of the world, there is joy, creativity and unimaginable possibilities.
